The new features and functionality included
in E-Mail Version 6 makes it the most robust E-Mail product in the MultiValue
market for UniVerse, UniData, General Automation and all flavors of Pick.
Combining this technology with PTS Internet also available from WordMark,
gives a total E-Mail solution for all MultiValue users either on a UNIX
system or in native environments.
Personal Address Book
Now E-Mail includes a Personal Address
Book for all users where they can define individuals, groups and even internet
addresses. Group Management functionality includes both personal

support. Nicknames can now be used. The end-user can easily
send messages to pre-assigned addresses with a simple selection process.
Archive Enhancements
Many requests from customers caused
the enhancement of the Archived Mail functions. you can now edit,
resend and forward Archived Mail as well as sort the contents in formats
such as name, subject and date giving more flexibility to your mail program.
New Menu Options
Pick and choose either the default
system menus or user defined menus. Also look for a new Graphical
User Interface (GUI) in the next version of E-Mail for PC platforms using
AccuTerm as the terminal emulator.
Message Forwarding and Much More!
A robust upgrade to the entire message
forwarding process is now in Version 6. You may now forward to Groups
and Internet email addresses. Multiple TO addresses are allowed.
And, multiple HOLD messages are supported. |

More Application Support
The applsend.sub (subroutine) now allows multiple cc's and sending Groups.
Applsend.sub has also been modified to show bad variable contents.
You may also merge data items into the email message body.
Other Important Features
A "?" can be used to provide a list of mailboxes to forward TO.
This feature is also used in Archived Mail and Group Options. The
logon time limit is now configurable in personal preferences or it may
use the system logoff each midnight. |
