mvWORD is the complete answer for MultiValue (UniVerse, UniData, Pick, mvBASE, etc.) word-processing and document management requirements. It provides facilities for creating and editing all types of documents, and may also be employed as a software development tool. For the applications developer, mvWORD includes a number of functions that can be accessed from MV/Basic programs, e.g. for text manipulations, format conversion, fax and e-mail.

Many features have been designed for ease of use, including intuitive menus, extensive help and prompt messages. A status line at the top of the screen contains margin settings, the current page and line number, and the cursor position in inches from the left margin.

mvWORD is fully integrated with the installed MultiValue database, allowing retrieval for mailings, invoices and statements. Mailings may be sent to the printer or, with the optional associated mvMAIL and mvFAX, directly via e-mail or fax.

mvWORD features an easy-to-use data management system allowing file, dictionary and data creation and editing. The MultiValue database may be searched, data selected and extracted down to multi-value and sub-value levels and inserted into documents.
